Llyn Clywedog report 13th Sept 2012 Weekly stock 500 season 21100 A pretty unsettled week with strong winds and heavy rain at times but inbetween the rough weather plenty of fish have still been caught with the Bigga arm being the most productive area from both bank and boat. The mouth of the Llwyd has also produced fish to boat anglers. Mr S Davis from Shrewsbury had a good day boat fishing around Gronwen and Carters bay with 14 fish the best a Brownie estimated around 9lb which he returned using hoppers. S Noel comented " superb fighting fish" on the 4 fish he caught from Braich y ffedew on GRHE and black gnat " As the water temperature starts to drop (16c at mo) i expect the autumn buzzer hatch to start within the next couple of weeks bringing the fish back to feed hard on the surface size 12 to 14 black cdc patterns will be the order of the day.
